In this economy, many people are looking to start their own businesses, which was the motivation of a majority of the 26 people who attended the workshop Opening a Bookstore: The Business Essentials, sponsored by the Bookstore Training Group of Paz & Associates and the American Booksellers Association this month on Amelia Island, Fla. Students' professional backgrounds encompassed information technology, law, education and human resources, among others.
